Hey everyone, sorry I haven't been on in a while. I would like to start using the website again, because I'm getting into more musical projects as time goes on, and I want to continue to post to keep you guys updated. So right now I just finished an internship at my church, which was absolutely fantastic. I helped lead our High School Worship Team for the summer, and it was a great learning experience. I also led worship with my ukulele this summer on a mission trip to Arizona, which was challenging but uketastic. This fall I will continue playing with our worship team, as well as hopefully taking part in a totally new experience. Our church is starting a songwriting group, and I'm hoping that I passed the audition! One of our two worship team residents was Songwriter of the Year at Liberty University, and she's leading the group. I auditioned this last Thursday for it, and I think the auditionioners (is that a word?) liked it! I played two songs, one was an acoustic song and the other was a composition similar to what you would expect to hear from Owl City (one of my favorite artists). I am hoping to make more music now that I have a good laptop, especially electronic stuff like Owl City. I was sitting in an airplane this summer listening to Owl City to keep myself occupied, and as I was listening I remembered an article about how he started making music, and I thought to myself, "Hey, I could make this on my iPad with an app I already have (GarageBand)!" So I did, and everybody I've shown it to has seemed to like it :) If I have any compositions that I'm not using for the songwriting group (and maybe some from it) I'll try to post them on YouTube. I'm also going to try to record covers of various songs to post to YouTube and Facebook, I'd love ideas in the comments! Now I just need a way to record my voice and acoustic guitar...
So that's what I'm up to right now, and I hope to be more active in the future! If you're reading this thank you for taking the time to read this incomprehensibly boring article, and please share it with your friends so that they may be tortured as well! Bye bye, boys (and girls)! Have fun storming the castle!
